On maternity leave… kinda

Image

It’s been almost three months from my last post.

Not so coincidentally, the babe (formerly known as “womb baby”) is approaching her three month birthday.

While busy with the madness that is having a new (and very dependent) human in my life, tackling a new post for The Pregnant Scientist has been a bit tricky.  Instead, I decided to revisit and summarize seven of my favorite findings during this pregnancy.

I still have a lot of questions to ask and hope to start tackling new posts soon.  In the meantime, if you have any ideas/questions for upcoming posts, please leave a comment below!

How about a blog post about the controversy (in the US) about cosleeping. Links or de-bunking the link between cosleeping and SIDS etc. Thanks!

I’d love to see some real research on those amber teething necklaces. Everything in my science brains screams that it can’t be possible. But it really, kind of, seems to work! I was hoping you were a step ahead but it’s amazing how time consuming these kids are.

Danielle! Yes! I definitely need to do a post on that!
I actually have a Baltic Amber necklace at the ready for the babe. The two little bottom teeth weren’t so bad so I didn’t bust it out but I hear the next ones that come along are pretty rough.

    Hi,

Just wanted to know what happened to your placenta previa situation? Did it improve. Did the placenta moved up eventually. I am also in the same boat and really worried. Appreciate your kind response.

YUP! Mine totally moved and I was all clear at my 28 week appointment. No problem at all for vaginal delivery.
For what its worth, during my second pregnancy, the placenta wasn’t even close to the cervix. In fact, it was completely on the opposite side!
